KETO FRIENDLY GRANOLA BARS!
I have never attempted to make my own granola bars, but had thought about doing it (shoot I'll just snack on the nuts and keep it moving 😆). I had been kicking the thought around with a few friends and then I remembered my friend@anna_loves_avocado made a post a bit ago and decided to follow her recipe.
But y'all should know me by now I'm going to make a few tweaks and that's the beauty of cooking/baking.
Here is my recipe for keto friendly, granola bars (I'm using some of the lowest carb nuts and seeds) :
Ingredients
- 1 cup hazelnuts
- 1 cup of roasted pepitas
- 1 cup Macadamia Nuts (@nutstop courtesy of my friend @bonita_20_keto )
- 1 cup Brazil Nuts
- 1 cup keto friendly sweetener (I used @swervesweetie )
- 1 scoop of @questnutrition cinnamon crunch protein powder
- 1/3 cup keto friendly honey (I used @choczero )
- Drizzle in maple syrup (I used @rxsugar )
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix thoroughly. Line a 9 x 13 baking sheet with parchment paper and spread evenly. Making sure you press down.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350° for 20 minutes. Let cool completely. I also put it in my refrigerator for a couple of hours until it's nice and firm. Like Anna my bottom was a bit sticky so after about an hour I cut them into bars and flipped them over to firm up the bottom, I then had melted @skinnymechocolates from my bacon reel and covered the back. I store them in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer and they last about a week or less because these are 🔥
